Dylan Roberts enters his first season as a student assistant coach for Northwood after playing in the program over the past three seasons. Roberts will assist the Timberwolves in multiple different facets of the program while continuing to complete his bachelor’s degree.

Roberts was a left-handed pitcher for NU from 2016-18. In 2016, Dylan was third on the team in appearances (15) out of the Timberwolves bullpen, while striking out eight with only two walks. After redshirting in 2017 due to injury, Roberts helped the Timberwolves win their second straight GLIAC regular season and tournament championship in 2018 as a left-handed relief pitcher. Prior to Northwood, Roberts spent two seasons at Kalamazoo Valley Community College. Over the two seasons, Dylan was 5-4 in roles as both a reliever and a starter.

During 2016 and 2017, Dylan was a player/manager for Aristeo Construction, which competed in the Lansing Summer League. In 2017, the first-year team won the playoff championship going a perfect 3-0. The team would follow that up with a regular season and playoff championship in 2018.  The team would finish 35-11 over the two seasons. During the past two summers, Roberts has worked at the Legacy Center in Brighton, giving private lessons and working camps for the organization.  In 2017, Dylan was the head coach of the 14u Legacy Select team and in 2018, he worked with the 15u Legacy Select team.

Roberts is a graduate of Howell High School in 2013, which had a pair of final four appearances in 2012 and 2013. During his senior season, Dylan posted a record of 8-0, with a 0.79 ERA, and 3 walks over 35 innings.

Roberts, and his brother Dakota, who is a current pitcher at Northwood, will both earn their degrees from Northwood in 2019.
