
FINDLAY, OHIO – The Northwood University women's golf team placed fifth at the GLIAC Championship Sunday (April 26).
The three-day, 54-hole event was host by the University of Findlay at the Findlay Country Club. The course played as a 6,007 yard par-72.
Northwood shot team scores of 327, 320 and 319 to finish with a score of 966. Grand Valley State was the overall winner at 912, followed by Findlay (931) and Ashland (939). A total of 11 teams compete in the event.
Grace Cannon (Liverpool, England/Range) led the way for Northwood. She finished with a total of 239 after shooting rounds of 81, 80 and 78. Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Ont./E'Cole) was 21st at 243, while Monica Gabriele (Missassauga, Ont./St. Joseph) tied for 22nd at 244. A total of 55 players took part in the event.
Northwood is in position to compete at the NCAA Super Regionals May 3-5.
