Women's Golf Places Ninth At NCAA Super Regional

CHICAGO, ILL. – The Northwood University women's golf team placed ninth at the NCAA Super Regional Tuesday afternoon (May 5).

It marked the second time in school history Northwood had qualified for the event as a team (2007).

The three-day, 54-hole event was held at the Ravines Course at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club. The course played as a 6,225 yard par 72.

Northwood carded rounds of 316-330-319 to finish at 965. Indianapolis was the overall winner at 922, followed by Ashland and Findlay at 935.

Leading the way for the Timberwolves was junior Marlies Klekner-Alt (Ottawa, Canada/E'Cole). She shot 76-79-81 to place 20th overall. Grace Cannon (Liverpool, England/Range) tied for 27th at 241 (76-87-78). A total of 49 players competed at the event.

Northwood has now completed their 2014-15 season.
